Congratulations to Jason on his recent review on cell type specific autophagy in ALS!  Good things come in small packages... today we welcome Doria Jordan Barmada, newest member of the family. Give her a week and she'll be at the bench.  John Moran is a new research specialist joining the lab - we are lucky to have him! He clearly has good taste in microscopes.  Niki is moving on from our group to attend the MD/PhD program at the University of Michigan. Congratulations, Niki!  Congratulations to Ahmed on a successful defense of his thesis. Some of us were worried.... not really. Sumin just won a highly competitive Rackham Predoctoral Fellowship! This is awarded to a select number of nominated and outstanding students. Well deserved!
